I kinda wish the new revelations and questions about John McCain's selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate would slow down a bit, because I've been trying to compose a single blog post for a couple of days now and I can't keep up!
I think I'm going to have to break it up into separate posts. I'm thinking of one on her policy positions, another on polls and numbers following the Veep announcement, another addressing the women's angle (do Hillary supporters like her? Why? Why not? What do other women think? Is she popular among women? Is this a pander to women? Do I think women will fall for it or do they not see it that way?).
Then there'll be one on her resume and experience, and comparisons with Obama's, and one on rumours and revelations (so far I have the AIP membership, Bridge to Nowhere, Council for National Policy, DairyGate, HockeyStadiumGate, dissing the veep job, earmarks for Wasilla, Ethics complaints, her previous presidential preferences, the Pledge of Allegiance, Ted Stevens and the 527, TrooperGate, what she (doesn't) know about the situation in Iraq, how many times they met before McCain chose her, and her Wikipedia alterations).
I was going to include the was she vetted properly? question in that section, but that's gotten so big now it will have to have its own post.
Then for fun I might finish up with McCain's wandering eyes and wedding ring fiddling videos - and his statement that "She's a partner, a soulmate" and that he's been "following her career for years and years".
Good grief. If this whole thing weren't so deadly serious, and if this election wasn't the most important one in years, the whole thing would be ridiculous to the point of being funny. In an "on-the-edge-of-hysteria" kind of a way.

Well well well......
Most Republicans HATE WOMEN in power, denying them of choice, rights and equal pay.
The REASON why Mccain chose Palin = he thinks women are stupid enough to vote on gender? That's undermining our intelligence.
Palin and Mccain is AGAINST WOMEN's rights and equality. NOTICE how Palin's speech says "man" so many times to please the Republicans...and there were no talk about female empowerment ...no talk being the first FEMALE VP. so to not tick off Chauvenistic Republicans.
Anonymous - I couldn't agree more! You're absolutely right.
I don't think the majority of American women are as stupid as the repubs believe, though. Many women see his choice as hypocritical and cynical in the extreme, and will not be voting for McCain/Palin in November.
